Al Ceasario was the sales manager who supervised the sale of the 2005 Buick Rendezvous that I purchased from Castle Buick. He put the figure $13,700 in writing on a small piece of paper that my salesman showed to me. This was the value being allowed for my trade-in vehicle. At the time, it was late at night, I was tired and I didn't have my eyeglasses with me. When I filled out the sales contract, I assumed that all the numbers were correct as we had agreed upon.

However, upon examining the sales contract at home, I discovered that I had only been allowed $13,000 for my trade-in vehicle, A SHORTFALL OF $700!! These people deliberately cheated me out of $700. I have since tried contacting both the salesman and Al Ceasario and neither one has been accessible.

DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND SHOP ELSEWHERE FOR A CAR!!!! THIS DEALERSHIP IS RUN BY DISHONEST, EXPLOITATIVE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PEOPLE OF THEIR WORD!!!

Some resolution

AUTHOR: Barbara - (U.S.A.)

Well, in talking to the sales manager, we agreed upon a two-year free service contract to appease my feelings of inequity. Always keep those little slips of paper you are asked to initial during the negotiation of a car purchase. Don't assume that those same numbers are going to be entered on the final sales contract. And, of course, make sure you are wearing your eyeglasses when you sign the contract. There are times when you should give people the benefit of the doubt. Buying a car, unfortunately, is not one of those times. I still got a fair deal and the free service for two years is some consolation for my pocket book. Live and learn. It's not the end of the world. I think we were all less stressed in the horse and buggy days! Probably most people, with the exception of car dealers, would agree with that.

The End

Hey, listen, I don't appreciate your smart *&*& comments. I should have had my glasses on, I admit, but I thought there was some honor there--there is none among thieves. That's what's wrong with this sick society we live in today, you blame the victim when you should be beating up on the lowlife scums who have made this the norm. It's sad that one cannot even buy a car anymore without being preyed upon. Don't classify me as an idiot just because I got ripped off for $700. Let's blame the perpetrator, NOT THE VICTIM!

WHO goes to a car dealer to buy a car WITHOUT their glasses? I'm just surprised the only ripped you for $700. I GUARANTEE they ripped you for a whole lot more on your trade-in, then just $700, IT just LOOKS like $700. How in the world did you read the contract you signed? WAIT, you couldn't read the contract you signed cause you forgot your glasses and couldn't see it. Do us a favor, give us all the figures for the trade-in AND the purchase of the rendezvous and whatever else they loaded you up with. It'll make the $700 look like peanuts. And they kept you so late you couldn't see or think straight even without your glasses. Typical car deal. Typical car dealers.
