CatholicMax.com charged my credit card for merchandise I ordered from their online company and never sent the merchandise. Neither did they respond to several emails I sent them questioning their lack of response to my queries. There is no phone number to call, only an email address and PO Box number. I checked them out on ripoff.com and discovered there were other complaints similar to mine. Why are they still in business? Why doesn't someone shut them down? To add insult to injury, they claim to be a non-profit Catholic owned company. Shame on them!

#2 REBUTTAL Individual responds

refund not verified as of yet

AUTHOR: Rosalia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 03, 2007

My bank has not verified this refund yet but believe me, I will keep checking. Even if Catholicmax did give me a full refund, they have had my money for over a month earning interest and seemingly had no intention of sending me the merchandise because they have done this to other customers as verified on this website, Ripoffreport.com.

Once they did it to a customer, Anna, in California in May 2006, again to a customer Julia, in Ironton, Ohio, in January 2006, then to me in January, 2007. There is definitely a pattern here. They don't respond to emails sent to them on their website which they claim is the only way to contact them - there is no phone number given on the website. When you add up all the money they collect from credit cards and the interest earned on that money during the period they are holding it without sending the merchandise, it is quite a scheme. Don't do business with CatholicMax.
