The Cat's Meow breaks down after a limited time of use.  It eats up batteries like mad so I bought rechargeable batteries and a recharger which cost about double what the toy cost.  But now even with fully recharged batteries the motor only runs for a little while and then stops.  I returned the (two) toys I got and asked for replacement or a refund.  Perhaps if they replace it it will be with a toy that is better made.  I will be surprised to hear from them at all and if I don't I will seek a refund on my AMEX card.

 I'm sure you're correct.

After we had one experience, I recommend never buying anything from a TV ad.  It's all junk and their marketing/billing practices are reprehensible.  There are places that sell that crap in local stores.  At least then you can hold it in your hand and deal with real people.
