I placed my order on December 3, 2009 as usual via phone, my e-check was cashed December 7th to the tune of 644.38 (several friends and I order together, but the money comes out of my pocket until it arrives--then I spend days trying to get it from my friends).  I too have called and written to no avail.  I have ordered from them since last year and over the course of the last few months their service was getting slower, but I never dreamed they would do this.  What a Merry Christmas it will be for my family as I am solely stuck with the bill!!!

Sorry to hear...

I'm very, very sorry to hear what happened to you. That was a pretty big order to take a chance with. An informed consumer would know these businesses have been under attack by the government and to use some caution though.. Ordering internet smokes for others is just plain crazy. If your state gets hold of their records, you could be fined and/or taxed a ridiculous amount for each carton. YOU, not the people you bought for, buying for others would be a crime.  It just depends on if your state decides to go around to all the internet dealers (only a few left) and ask for their records to make a little money off you. My state (Ohio) has done this and I received an "excise tax" bill for cigs I bought from a New York dealer who turned over records of my purchases. This made my cheap smokes cost just as much as if I'd bought a name brand for $60.00 a carton.

There's still a chance they will make things right. I'm sure all of their computers, records and money have been seized by our rogue and criminal government. They want to sell their $60 a carton smokes (after backing the tobacco companies and getting us all addicted to cheap smokes for years) and they don't like competition. It's possible Chavez will still refund any orders that weren't completed and simply don't have access to the necessary information and money right now.

I was a steady customer for quite awhile and the company was always very reliable. I've seem many of these businesses raided and brought down. Another one bites the dust. Blame your government. When the US government can set minimum prices on the "free market" and can get away with demonizing and taxing a minority of Americans to this ridiculous extent... When they start acting like the gangsters they truly are and use a police state and no privacy at all to enforce their ridiculous taxes... we are all in big, big trouble. I commend Chavez for standing up to them and again, I'm very sorry you got caught in the middle. But, you need to know what happened and know who the real criminals are.

When the Indian reservations can't even sell tax free as they supposedly have the right to anymore, just because they finally found a way to make it profitable due to the government's RIDICULOUS AND CRIMINAL taxes on an American product, something's VERY wrong! Our founding fathers fought for our independance because of unfair taxes MUCH smaller than this!!! Maybe we should spend our time waking people up to these facts instead of trying to ruin the reputation of a company that was simply a victim and no longer exists anyway. What would they care?
