I purchased vacation vouchers from a company called Celebrity Productions.  This e-mail came through to our very large well know company.  I called them and they sold me on 2 vouchers that I was promised could be used at the same time as long as I had them sent to two different addresses and two adults were titled on the vouchers.  Which I did.  I wanted to save this vacation to go with all three of my grown kids 24, 22 and 20.  When I bought the vouchers for $600 through Celebrity I was told in order to register them I would have to send them an additional $220 which I did.

They sent me the vouchers in the mail and passed me along to Mexico VIP Holidays and this is where the real nightmare begins.  After I got the vouchers I then had to send $218.80 as a registration fee for the vouchers to be used by Mexico VIP Holidays.  And about a week or so later they needed an additional $1955 so we could complete the vacation.

I was already concerned because the vacation is now costing me $766 a person.  A vacation that I could have booked through Apple, Expedia etc for the same price and guaranteed to stay at a resort that I have researched and choosen myself.  But I continued as this would be my last step in booking a family vacation that my whole family was really looking forward to.  I must add that the initial phone call made in January I asked if it would be a problem if we wanted to travel as soon as Mid to later March and I was assured by both Celebrity and Mexico that this would not be a problem since I wanted to travel to Cancun.  Their exact words "no problem at all".

I made contact with Mexico VIP Holidays a number of times where I had to fax over credit card information and signatures, Passport photos and travel information.  I then had to followup with these people several times as they were to then send me some sort of confirmation so I could take the next steps.  They never check their e-mails and managers are not accessible to speak with.

I was then told that the two vouchers that I purchased could not be used together.  After long and frustrating conversations with Celebrity I was finally given the go ahead to use them together.  I then told Mexico VIP Holidays that I would like to travel around March 20 21 somewhere around there.  In order to check availabilty I decided to say like March 20 - 24th (having purchased another night at my expense).

I was told OK.  They would get back to me with the flight and hotel information.  A week and a half later and mutlitple phone calls I got the information.  The flights were fine but the Hotel was not.  I looked it up on the internet and it is a 2 1/2 star hotel with very very bad reviews and I told them that I was not satisfied with that hotel that we wanted to stay somewhere else.

Oh yes another promise and written in the rules of participation is that the resort had to be 3 stars or better.  And Dos Playas is not.  Please check it out yourselves and tell me if that is where you would choose to take a family vacation.  We were told when buying the vouchers that it would be a Marriott Hilton etc ( all big name resorts).

I told them that they would have to find me a different hotel and their response was we cant thats all we have and its already been booked.

I told them that I wanted my money back and they said they couldnt do that.  I do not want to spend over $700 a person to stay at some flea bag hotel with my family.  I have never been treated so poorly.  I feel like I am being scamed by both these companies.  Like I said for the money I have put forward I could have booked through another company with only one phone call and better accommodations.

CELEBRITY PRODUCTIONS AND MEXICO VIP HOLIDAYS are scam outfits.  They have not heard the end of me.  If I dont get put up in a nicer hotel or get my money back there will be legal action taken.

I am in the same boat as you.  I bought the vacation packages (to Cabo) and paid a processing fee of $19 each to Fun Time vacations. $476.00 spent so far for 4 people.

I have not activated my vacation package or airline vouchers yet.  (both need to be done through Celebrity Productions using 2 different addresses)
I'm not sure what to do: stop right here and take the loss or follow it thru to the end.

I have read that there are a lot of activation and processing fees but in the end did you get your vacation?  Did you get upgraded to a better hotel??  What happened?  Please update your report.
