Charleston Property Management Would not return security deposit West Ashley South Carolina

Hi, my name is Shasarina xxxxxxxxx. I'm writing because i was done wrong with my last apartment. I moved into the apartment at the end of January and the carpets in the place was a mess. It had stains all over it and it also smelled live dog urine (the person that lived in there before me had dogs and i guess they(the company) didnt clean the capret the right way after they left). I've tryed to get them to replace the carpet from the time i moved in there but they would just give me the run around. I'm pregnant and i couldnt even eat downstairs (it was a townhouse) because the smell would make me sick. I sent faxes to the, showed them photos of the carpet and everything and no one was seem to care about it at all. So i finally told them i was going to leave and that i wasnt going to pay them for the last month i was there. They told me that i couldnt do that (use the security deposit for the last month rent), and that if i just paid up untill the time i lived there, that i would be able to get my security deposit back (which was $695). I tryed to get what they aid in writing but the refuse to do so, and now i no why. Yesterday was the da that i was suppose to get my security eposit back, when i called them about it, they told me that they never told me anything like that. Both the owner of the property and the manager at the office told me the same thing (that i would get my security deposit back as long as i paid for the time i was staying there). So now their telling me i should of gotten something in writing (which i did call at least 5-6 time about getting something in writing). She also left it on my voicemail but my phone company dont have access to old voicemail. Can you please post this and let everyone no about the scam and how poor of a apartment company this is. They do everyone that do business with them this way(i no cause everytime im in the office someone is in there omplaining about something). They still owe me $695 for my security deposit and refuse to give it back. Do you no anything i can do to get my money back? Any information will be helpfull at this point, cause they cheated me over big time.

Ps: They also would not let me talk to the owner (guy name Rob) about me not getting my money back. The office manger (Christen) is saying he told her not to give it to me
