I found an ad on Facebook MarketPlace for a Sewing Machine stating "need to sell now …make offer". Ad posted by "William andJane Seigfried” just the way I typed it. I made an offer of $200. The seller accepted. I gave him my address and asked for a Paypal email in order to pay them. They said they did not have Paypal or a bank account. Seemed very agitated and confused and the conversation went on. Thought it was very odd. But then another person appeared to take over the FB Chat stating she was the daughter Chelsea Siegfried. State her dad William had dementia and was unable to finish the transaction. We move the chat to direct chat on ATT phone numbers Chelsea 678-975-4992.

Asked for my address and confirmed the amount of the agreed to price. Said she had Apple pay and could accept that method of payment. Stated she would ship today and get me a tracking number within an hour. I did not have Apple Pay so I set it up and paid. I did not know there was not buyer protection with Apple Pay. I did not receive a tracking number on May 14, 2019.

7:30am I sent a follow up text to Chelsea. No response.
Mid day I called and left a message. No response.
Called again after 5:00 PM, left a message. No response.
Realized I have been defrauded

Contacted the local and State Police to initiate a police report.
The end result is ..Apple Pay, there is no buyer protection. They will do nothing to help return the funds. Lawenforcment indicated it is near impossible to "prove beyond a shadow of a doubt" that X person perpetrated this fraud. No DA will pursue.
At the end if the day, if sounds too good to be true... it is!! Buy with PayPal and seller just eat the 3% fee or use Postal Money Order because the Postal Inspectors will pursue this type if illegal activity.

May 18, last text to Chelsea, asking for my money back...again no response
