Chesatee Real Estate Chestatee Property Management Our rental experience via Chestatee Real Estate- was so bad we ended up selling our home -- BEWARE! Dahlonega GA

In 2017 we had a new grandchild in California and decided to rent our Dahlonega, GA house while out West for a year -- but we made the horrid mistake of using Chestatee Real Estate-Chestatee Property Management of Dahlonega, GA to handle that rental.  This realtor totally bothched all aspects of the rental.  For example, when one of our two tenants died, they refused to re-do the lease, which made the remaining tenant believe he had no responsibility, so he stopped paying rent.  Then Chestatee first told us to evict him, then told us to cancel the eviction -- and, worst of all, told the tenant we were evicting him, giving him another excuse to not pay any more rent!  Chestatee also made repairs at double the allowed maximum over which they needed our approval, which they never even asked, let alone received from us.  Finally, after that tenant left, Chestatee faked a re-rental effort: no showings, no sign on the property, no real effort on their part -- not even a correct listing of our property!  From our experience, Chestatee Real Estate-Chestatee Property  Management is untrustworthy -- and, when that was pointed out to their owner, he immediately had a lawyer threaten us if we tried to sue the firm for damages.  So, this firm is nasty -- as well as costing us thousands of dollars of unpaid rent and wasting our money, time, and effort!  BEWARE OF CRE-CPM!
