DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP !!!! DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEIR SERVICE MANAGER ( T.C. COLEMAN ) TELLS YOU.  I purchased a used 2003 saturn ion,( from another dealer) 4 months after purchase the car broke down. I had it towed and found out it needed a new transmission ($4000.00- $5000.00 repair)

Immediately I started looking up information about the transmission in this vehicle. bottom line, GM started putting a new transmission ( VTI, Variable Transmission with Intelligence ) in the saturn vue (year 2002-2005) and the saturn ion (year
2003-2004). The transmissions would last for around 30,000 to 40,000 thousand miles before something in it would break. in my case, the metal belt exploded inside the trans and metal pieces went through the whole trans.

I went to the dealership and talked to Mr. Coleman, he gave the impression that i was wasting his time. He looked up a few websites on his computer and told me there was nothing he could do. I told him i already knew that this would be the second transmission that the car has had replaced, did i mention the car has 80,000 miles on it? he did not seemed surprised. I could tell he had obviously dealt with this problem before and had a stocked answer for customers so i ask if he could give me a number for GM Customer service he told me he couldnt give the number to me but that he would call them to see if there was anything he could do. his reason for not giving me the number to call(1-313-556-5000 GM corporate office headquarters) was that they would just call him. I guess he thinks that the GM dealership he works at is the only one in Tennessee.finally he told me he would call me by the end of the day to let me know what he found out. I
never heard from him.

 If you are looking for a vehicle that the manufacturer is going to back no matter what problem you have I would suggest
anything other than a GM product. We as tax payers paid billions to bail out GM and as a thank you we get to deal with liars like Mr. coleman who sit in their offices and smirk and laugh at your situation, when all we want is for them to take care of their customers and stand behind their products. My husband has worked for GM for 25 years and we have been very loyal to them when it came to purchasing vehicles.I am sorry to say that will no longer be the case. Mr. Coleman
if you read this just know that as we come to your office one by one and get no help from you or the company that you represent,we also leave one by one and find another company that will stand behind their product and that does care
about their customers. One day that will leave you out of a job! I would suggest that you take a long look in the mirror, when you get off your high horse, and consider actually helping those of us that need your help instead of giving a prompted answer that you have been spoon fed from GM. If you have one of the vehicles listed above or are looking at a used one you should look up CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OVER TRANSMISSION FAILURES IN SATURN VUE AND ION.
