I took my claims to the new hanover county small claims court and the judge ruled in my favor. I now have a judgement against the company for the money that is owed. All it took was showing the judge the text messages that the owner had sent to me saying he would refund the money. Also I am not the only one check out his Yelp reviews.

As you can imagine, there is always 1 unhappy customer every now and then.

This customers job was completed and he wasn't happy with 2 small areas.

We jack hammered out the affected are and added 2 drain baskets and drain lines to the area.

He then wanted us to re-pour those areas after having storms for 3 weeks and more storms predicted that day so he could have a party.

He then refused to take responsability for for any damaged that may have been caused due to rain.

He managed to get another company to re-pour the affected area for less than 1/2 the cost of his project.

So, He got 3/4 of the work for 1/2 the money due on the job then payed less than 1/2 the money to have it re-poured in the rain.

Who's ripping off who? 

Did not perform the work I hired them to do. I paid 50% on June 15th 2017 to have about 7 yards of concrete poured for a patio. The finished product was so bad they agreed to chip about 5 yards of it up and re-pour. There was one section that looked like you dumped a bag of gravel and another that had water standing right up against the house. Multiple puddles formed in the concrete right out side the main door to the house.  After they chipped up the conrete they used MY wheel barrow to move it to another location in my yard. That ended up breaking the bottom out of the wheel barrow. For two months I tried to get them to come back and finish the job and clean up all the chipped up concrete. I finally had to hire another company to finish the job. John said it was a family friend but I can assure you it was NOT. It was American Patio, Drive and Walk who did a great job repouring the concrete the same day that CMC said was not a good day to pour. Afterwards they agreed to a full refund due to all the issues which I have text messages from John Mitricska saying exactly that. I tried to get him to send the refund he agreed to for over a month. Each week I asked he said that he was completing a job and he would have the money the next week. After I left a bad review for them they decided not to give me a full refund. I filed a dispute through thumbtack and now they are saying they will not refund the money. If i want to get the money back at this point I will have to take them to small claims court. In the end i spent $1200 dollars for about 2 yards of concrete and a drain. Not to mention 2 months of attempting to get them to actually do the work that I paid them for. Stay away!

We completed the full job. Jason was not happy with part of it so, we jack hammered it out and stored the bad concrete to re-use on his property. Bad weather and other factors kept us from re-pouring the section that was removed before the date Jason requested. He had a family friend re-pour the area that was removed for less than 1/2 of the balance on the job. We also removed the bad concrete from his property at his request and cleaned up the area. SO, Jason got his concrete complete with drain lines installed by CMC for less than the original quote but, now wants a full refund. Who's ripping off who?
