This is to inform all people searching for a home to beware of a lease purchase. These Owners listed there house for sale in January of 2014. I saw the house in June of 2014. After my agent and there agen spoke twice about the property they we decided to do a lease purchase. The terms where a 3 year lease purchase with $10,000 down and $3,000 a month to purchase within 3 years for $396,000. I went to the home and met with the owners who at the time seemed to be very nice. After having a certain level of comfort we decided to move forward. I currently live in a $750,000 condo downtown Atlanta in which I leased out once I signed all paperwork on this home so in all standards I was downgrading. But at the time this was prefered for me because I wanted to purchase a home for more space and privacy.  I went to my bank on June 28th and got $10,000 in cashiers checks to be disbursed to the Marshmans for the purchase of there home. I move very quiclky when in somehting that I want so everything on my end was completed in 2 weeks. 

The Marshmans stated that I moved so fast they had not yet found a place to stay and needed more time. So we went and revised the contract and stated instead of me moving in on August 1st, 2014, that I would give them sometime to find a new place in which I thought would be under 30 days. They fired there agent and strated to use mine who worked for a reputuble firm since he did such amazing things to structure my deal. So I was comfortable that this deal would be seamless. What happend was they started looking for homes which at the time I assumed they could afford. But what happened is they was basically looking a 1 million dollar plus homes but had a $300,000 budget. THey was going to these properties knowing they could not afford them making low ball offers just to get denied. This tango went on for months. Every other week I would touch base to get the same response we still looking. June left, July left, August left, September left, October left at the end of October they stated that they was gone move into a temporary housing since I had been so patient.  Btw remember when I signed the contract and gave them my money I moved into a hotel and leased out my Condo. So from June to October I had been staying at a hotel at a rate of $120 per night. Yea you do the math.  On top of that I own my own company which was ran out of my condo so I was limited on what all I could do in that setting. My business manager told me I lost $65,000 in contracts within this time.  The marshmans knew this, but did they care no.  The end of October they agreed to let me go ahead and move my furniture in the home that I had paid for since I was paying over $500 monthly in storage fees as well. November 2nd came I paid a moving company to move my $70k worth of furniture and electronics out of storage into 4568 Lakevista Cirlce Ellenwood Ga and the Marshmans was there to assist. Assuring me they would be out of the home in 2 weeks or less. Two weeks passed no word.  A month passed and Im texting her and she is no repsonding.  THen I get a call from my agent sayin that she was in the hospital and could not respond to my text. Well this was strange only because she would text me at odd hours like 5am  and 11pm asking crazy quesitons like, "hey where is a nice place I can go get some drinks from." I mean she is in her 40's look like and im in my 20's so this was very strange to me that she couldnt text me and say she was in the hospitial but she text my agent. My worries grew stronger at this moment. I was confused and something was telling me something wasnt right.  I mean all my furniture is in the house. THey have had my 10k in there pocket for months that could have been drawing interest, they have stop answering my calls, and im homeless. SO I contacting a attorny and he advised me to send a email to virutually say I needed them to be out in 30 days.  I sent this right after Thanksgiving.  They responded quickly to say they did not want to move out of them home and they wanted me to find something else.  I was flabergasted. How could someone be so selfish and unconsiderate.  I have been in a hotel for 6 months waiting to move into a home that I have paid for and they did not care.

  Christie Marshman was so nasty  and so rude she even went so far as saying that she did not want me on her property and that I could not come and retrive my furniture. I have copys of emails and texts from her along with my voided cashiers check to prove this.  So I lost all this money and time and energy along with way more beautiful homes that came on the martket and now im back to square one. I have been a business owner for over 10 years and have never met anyone qutie like this. My intellect was telling me that It had to be something she has done before to other people. She was too well versed with the contract. Btw that was only in her name and not her husband  WHo she had arrested for criminal trespassing and disordly conduct.  Clearly this woman lives in a box and she will reap what she sews.  I hired a attorney that charged me over 200 dollars a hour to represent me I did this because I wanted to best lawyer in the city. He even told me that I had a definte law suit but that could take months in georgia courts and would it be worth it to keep dealing with this modern maniac. THank God for my attorny he got a the police involved and I was able to move my beautiful furniture out of her home. I have still not received all my monies from her yet and probably wont .  Future tenantes please beward of these people. They are obvioulsy doing this mulitple times to unsuspecting tenantes because they know nobody is going to invest the time and large amounts of  money to take them to court.   I am curretly working with a senator in order to get some law in place to stop this from happening in the future.  Christie works for Cox communitcation and probably isnt practicing good business procedures there. Rayshawn works for Emory in the human resources department and I dont trust him in that postition either.  Please Be Aware.. THis is sad people still operate like this and are suppose to be God fearing Good community people.
