Christie Martin - Owner of the Icehouse of Bentonville, located in Bentonville Arkansas. The Icehouse is to be a restaurant and nightclub. Christie hires individuals, companies, etc.... and does not pay them.
Christe will manipulate you into thinking she has the cash and the credit for her pet project, but has nothing. Experience - the most important thing she is lacking.
Christie and boyfriend Derrek have no commercial construction or restaurant experience whatsoever. The ONLY experience Christi has is as a Hooters waitress for 8 years and possibly a bad looking stripper. Not much on developing a 12,000 sq ft restaurant.
If you are in politics with the town of Bentonville - WATCH OUT ! Christe and Derrek like throwing around political names of public officials - exaggerating the fact that they have particular people in their back pocket. As to get away with certain rules and regulations deemed necessary for public safety.
The building has black mold! They have been told by 2 contractors that it need to be taken care of before they open for service. The replied that they would just build a wall over the existing wall with the mold. There is also MAJOR structural damage to the building! This has also been pointed out by various contractors and architects. They were told to bring in a structural engineer to see what needs to be fixed so the building is safe. Christie replied" I don't want to waste the 2500.00 dollars.
2500.00 for the safety of potential customers and she doesn't want to spend it! Amazing! I guess Those might be some of the people she claims to have in her back pocket. Then on to the main architect.
Harris & French - no stamp whatsoever on the prints, but apparently has connections with the town so a building permit was granted! This being bragged about by boyfriend Derrek. Christie replies, "she wishes Derrek would keep his mouth shut when it comes to information like that, it could get me into trouble".
Ah, good honest business people just trying to squeek by without paying for a thing and getting results along the way!
WARNING - If you are a GC, Sub Contractor, or have anything to do with construction or the hospitality industry _ RUN AWAY!

Personal attacks, vendictive, threatening.........what will you come up with next? The man you are accusing did non of the above! You are simply trying to make this person sound bad because of your bad business practices.
Obviously this person or people had some great qualifications or I don't think you would have hired them in the first place. Hmmmmm Now there is a thought.
Why is it that ALL the people this company brought in to bid on jobs ALL say the same thing about the ICEHOUSE and the Ownership? Hmmmmm Yet another thought.
Can't cook.....funny, if you hire a company to design a restaurant, how would one be able to cook with nothing built? Hmmmmmmm Sounds like you are still reaching.
12 different places in 12 months - WOW - and you hired these people.... Yet you say that "after the checks came in", why would you hire such a company until the checks came in in the first place.........sounds like you are still trying to blame others when you are the screw ups.
So you payed money with no social security # (as you said) ......isn't that paying someone under the table? and ILLEGAL? Surely a name was given and forms were filled out, I would even venture to say that the person who filled that paperwork out was smart enough to have them photocopied. Yet no name or social.......Hmmmmmm
I would also venture to say that the person/s hired probably have various contacts with the people involved. ie: sub contractors, general contractors, etc etc that can attest to the LACK of experience of the owners and would most likely side with the person/s you are trying to make look bad. Even to the point of them admitting themselves that the owners of the ICEHOUSE had no clue what they were doing and trying to do things the way they were was a VERY bad Idea.
Sounds to me like you should all put this to bed and move on with your lives!

Burned is correct!!
This is a case of a scam that was caught before pay off!!. Burned tryed to rip-off the Ice House
for 20,000 untill his back round check came back
showing he is a dead beat dad trying to avoid paying child support.
He would not provide the company with a social security number did not even want to be payed in his name. could not provide local references I guess this would be hard since he had 12 different addresses with in a 12 month period.

He was paid a sum of 2,500.00 for two weeks of employee. Or should I say over paid?
He has personally and proffesionally attacted the owner and business with the purpose of revenge only revenge that he was unable to rip-off 20,000

This is a scam! I am not affiliated at all whatsoever to this company but I do know some of the individuals related to this article.
This report comes from a person who lost their job over poor performance and now they want revenge. This person will do whatever it takes to make this company look bad.
I know this person and he is very vindictive. It's a shame that companies like the ripoff report do not validate individual's findings and just blatantly show these reports online.
I hope whoever reads this report takes notice of the caliber of person this is coming from!

For those of you who have to pay the phone comapny (SBC) and the cable company (COX) to have things installed and hooked up properly. Christie and Derrek have freinds with both companies doing the work for free! Scott with SBC out of the Bentonville area and Sean with COX cable. Just ripping everyone off a chunk at a time.
The blueprints were even made so that the ABC ( the people that issue the liquor lisense ) would approve their permit for a private club.
