I left my husband (Christopher Erben) with our 1 year old son last year. Before I moved out, he said he would hide so he wouldn't have to pay child support to me. And this he has done. There is a court order that he has to pay $335 a month, which he did two times and his mother paid the last time-4 months ago.
I didn't know when I moved out that I was a couple weeks pregnant. Chris doesn't care! He doesn't ask to see his first son or ask how he is doing. He last saw his eldest son in March. Doesn't ask about our second son. Hasn't even met him yet. I doubt he even remembers what his name is (I was able to get ahold of him twice since his son was born 2 1/2 months ago).
Chris told me back in April that he was moving to Florida. And that's what his family keeps telling me. In the court order, he is supposed to tell me where he moves to and where he gets a job within two days. He had a cell phone, but the contract ended in September. I have no idea where he really is, where he works, and have no way of contacting him. The only "place" I know to contact him is on MySpace, but I am blocked from him. A friend of mine has seen him at his parents house in Canton, North Carolina.
He has a warrant out for his arrest for not showing up to court in August for non-payment of child support. I think this is the main reason that no one wants to let me know where he is. He hasn't changed his address with the post office, so looking him up online, he shows up in Canton.
Up until recently, the child support website for NC says that the processing status for the case has said 'delinquent'. Now it says 'locate'. The only thing is that I have no way to help DSS track him down. All I know is that he moved to Florida to live with his pregnant girlfriend.
I think that is kind of funny. When we met, he said he didn't want any kids. And now he has three. Of course, I heard a rumor that this mystery girl is pregnant with twins-ohh, I love karma! I just wish he would start paying the child support he agreed to with the court, visit his kids when he is around, and meet his second son! It's really unfair to them.
If any one has any idea about where he is, PLEASE tell me!

He's back

He moved back here and after finding out about the warrant last week, turned himself in. Not sure what is going on exactly. I am adding our second son in a few days to get child support. I am now friends with his ex-girlfriend. He did the same things to her that he did to me, though she kicked him out for them. Good going for her!

I have gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore. If he cared about his kids, he would help out. But he doesn't. I am with someone now who wants to help me raise my kids. Someone who has been my friend ever since I moved to this state in middle school. So, if he pays, he pays. He just owes the state $50 every time he misses a month.

DSS has located Chris and is garnishing his wages. He also has insurance for our first son now. Still hasn't been up here to meet his second son though. I don't know where his is-but at least DSS does.

She took the kids to the Foodstamp office and filed.
SHe gave the name of the father and the names and addresses of his parents at which he could be served with legal process... SHe then asked them how to contact the Attorney General's Office which is responsible for enforcing CHILD SUPPORT ORDERS in Texas and in your state too.
Your divorce was not supposed to be final until the Court was sure that you were not pregnant. No-good's lawyer will probably insist on a DNA test unless that has been done already.
You might want to find out the name of his girlfriend because more likely than not everything will be listed under her name while he is dodging Child Support payments. He will not list any resources in his name --BUT HE WILL STILL HAVE TO PAY OR HE WILL GO TO JAIL.
This worked for my cousin. I don't know the laws in your state but it will probably work for you.
Nice family you married into. Mommy Dearest pays for sonny boy to have his fun and doesn't give a flip about her own grandkids...
You deserve a lot better and I hope you find somebody.
You might call the Jerry Springer show and confront them on TV. I can almost guarantee they WOULD find him and her if they put you guys on TV. And everybdoy would be paid...
