  • CHrpay Total-Eliminator Internet U.S.A.

Total Eliminator I was online and this flashing box kept coming up saying there was a virus, and I needed to protect my PC. They asked me download the anti-virus and they did not indicate that they were going to take money fro my card without my outhorising it. I was surprised to see on my account that they charged my 72.56 pounds. My computer has a valid antivirus protection. I want my money back. USA Internet

I was online and ths red flashin box kept coming up telling me that my computer had infected files and I needed an anti-virus. When I clicked on the box it was indicated as a free trial before buying from Total-Eliminator.com. They asked for my details and the next I saw was the amount I was going to pay which I did not outhorise at all. It is done in a way that you do not realise that if you put in any information they are going to bill you. They are riping off people because they know they can get away with it, I nwwd my money back. I did not plan to buy any thing for seventy two pounds fifty six pence at a time like this. I do not have any details like phone number to contact them and I need to find-out how I can do that.

THE FLASHING BOX WAS A SCARE TACTIC ONLY

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 19, 2008

You probably never had a virus - they just wanted you to download their crap and then overcharge you for something you did not need in the first place.

Their crap probably gave you a virus to ensure that you came back to them

Your first step should have been to run your own anti-virus software first. If you are using the computer on the internet - ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE IS A MUST!

Then reboot your computer in safe mode and run it again. If it was still there after that - you need to go to Microsoft website and download their FREE anti-virus software and run it once regularly and again in Safe Mode.

Happened to my computer - husband was surfing on legit site when he clicked on a hijacked link - it did download a virus on our computer and reset the home page to go back to the same anti-virus sales program over and over again.

We still had to call someone to get it completely removed. But doing the above steps got most of it out..
