This contractor was hired to repair a gutter that was loose and water was leaking behind gutter rotting the wood. I was not given a detailed estimate, only an amount written on notebook paper with his phone number.

I met Mr. Simmons and his helper wife to purchase the materials. This contractor did not have a truck or van to transport necessary materials for the job. The materials purchased seemed like he was unwilling to get everything required like it was a DIY project. After the work was completed, it was discovered there was three long screws in the downspout blocking the flow of water catching leaves and other debris; the proper screws were not purchased (#8x3/8) in a reasonable quantity.

I asked these people to paint a board under some windows (about ten feet in length) and the wood was wet, the female helper told me that paint will stick even if the wood is wet. It did not take long to realize this person does not know how to paint professionally because she does not know how to clean a paintbrush and did not have a paint brush of any quality. I loaned her a professional quality angle brush and gave her an inexpensive paint brush; this person kept my good paintbrush. It was also discovered the trim paint was smeared on the white vinyl siding and hidden by the flowers, another smear under the trim boards, very difficult to remove after it had dried.

This is where it gets interesting: I began having health problems after these people started working on the property and it was much worse after they left. This woman (partner/employee) used the restroom two times and was inside for a long time, it sounded like she was rummaging through the cabinets from the unusual sounds coming from the bathroom door. I discovered items in my desk had been rummaged through and the keyboard/mouse was causing me a severe reaction just from touching them.

The rubber boots I wear, had the same experience with them also. All the personal care items had been tampered with and are unusable (hand-soap, shampoo, etc). This female admitted she works in a hospital and is trained in healthcare; its easy to understand drug interactions may be common knowledge. While I was under the influence of questionable drugs, this female tried to GASLIGHT ME with things she could not possibly understand.

The malicious acts of this DIY Handyman/Contractor has cost me more than hiring a reputable builder. This includes replacement of everything that was contaminated with drugs and/or damaged due to their malicious actions. Its also noted the new lawnmower on the property began having a no start condition after these people had had finished the work; its ironic because I’m a professional mechanic and discovered it has been tampered with causing the abnormal problem and it worked perfectly fine before [the machine only has TEN (10) Hours of Use].

The carpentry skills are comparable to any handyman, and other work in need of completion is no longer available to these people because I DO NOT want them on our property! These people have violated my civil rights, just like a common thief.

I would NOT EMPLOY any contractor who snoopes around in your presonal belongings and/or attempts to make you sick with an unexplainable illness that persists for weeks and possibly months.. This is Outreageous Behavior!
