Avoid this company! Get your checks printed at your bank and save yourself a lot of trouble. This outfit screwed up my Internet check order four different times over the course of four to six months. The mistakes ranged from giving me the wrong check style, including and billing me for return mailing labels (also in the wrong check style) that I did not want, and misprinting a bank routing number on my third (corrective) order.

The misprint caused me the most grief, as you might well imagine. Because without a correct routing number, your checks and deposits have nowhere to go. Your checks will bounce and your deposits will not be credited into your account. The routing number is different from the account number, it is not printed on bank statements and most people do not have it memorized. The Classic Check customer service reps I spoke with even admitted that they didn't know theirs either, but that's another story.

Naturally, I contacted Classic Checks immediately after discovering the error. After spending a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several different people, a representative of Classic Checks verbally agreed to refund any overdraft fees that weren't reversed by vendors as long as I attempted to first recover the fees myself, in writing, which I did.

I took a day off of work (lost wages) and spent countless, stress-filled hours on the phone trying to sort out the situation, calling creditors, scrambling to pay the overdraft fees, sending letters, etc.

In the end, Classic Checks did not stand by their word and refused to refund the overdraft charges that were not reversed. All they did was replace the checks with the correct routing number - and get this -- the wrong style for the second time! This made a total of FOUR errors stemming from one check order that was originally made in January 2007.

Classic Checks will not acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part, no matter what the error, and they are extremely difficult to deal with, unsympathetic and uncommunicative. Their Internet ordering system is not reliable, and probably unsafe as well, and I urge consumers to avoid this company at all costs. I regret ever having used this company, it cost me way more in the long run than simply entrusting my check printing to my bank.

If you choose to do business with Classic Checks, do so at your own risk, and watch every move they make. Please be aware that they do NOT strive for accuracy or value customer satisfaction. They love to hide behind their disclaimers or simply ignore you, no matter how many times you write to them, or how many complaints you file.

A claim was filed with the BBB, but in the end, they really don't do much. Companies pay to be members of the BBB, so the BBB is probably more sympathetic to the business. There is at least one other complaint against them that was supposedly resolved, but I wouldn't put much stock it in it. I know my resolution with the BBB is inaccurate - it states that a reasonable offer to resolve the issue was made by the company, and the customer refused it. Well, they got it half right. I did refuse it, but NO reasonable offer was made. No offer was made whatsoever. It was just a "tough luck" email from Classic Checks, and I don't call that resolution. Reimbursement is resolution, not hiding behind a cheap generic disclaimer.

Overall, I can't stress enough that dealing with Classic Checks is an expensive prank and a disappointment. They don't stand behind their work, they don't care about the customer, their products are second-rate, and they are overpriced. Stay away, stay far, far away! And whatever you do, do NOT order off their Internet site, you will not have any recourse against them in the event your information is incorrectly transmitted or received by them. Not that the live help is any better, they STILL got the check style wrong the fourth time around.

Take your business to a competent, reputable check printer or your bank. Do not do business with Classic Checks, Inc.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Here's A Suggestion

When you get your cheap internet check order, look at the account and routing numbers at the bottom of the checks to make sure they match your account number and your bank/CU's routing number. If you're not sure, call your bank/CU. Then your checks "will have some place to go".

that this happened like this...I really wish you did not have a problem.

But you do have part of the responsibility here. You should have proofread the checks when you recieved them. Had you done so, you would not have had the problems you did.

You should always proofread anything from a printer. Never trust anyone.
