Clayton Warichak Von Der Stadtrand German Shepherds Did not honor guarantee of good health, sold cryptorchid and dysplastic dog Milwaukee Wisconsin

Clayton Warichak is a crock. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM. He does not stand behind his guarantee of good health.

Clayton sold me a 12 week old puppy in December of 2005. I wired $1500 to his account, and what I received was a cryptorchid dog with severely dysplastic hips. Before I paid for the dog I asked him more than once if the dog's testicals were down. He said that they were. When I found out that he was cryptorchid, all he had to say was that his testicals must have gone back up. A short time later, I found out that his hips were severely dysplastic. When I confronted Clayton about it, he said that TWO out of the seven puppies in this litter had severe hip dysplasia, and the other dog had to be put down.

The puppy should have been tested to make sure that he was not cryptorchid before Clayton ever sent him to me. The excuse that his testicals must have gone back up is not valid. My vet said that she has never heard of any dog's testicals going back up. EVEN HIS OWN VET was astonished by that statement. It is obvious that Clayton was out to make a quick buck and did not care that he was selling us a dog with defects. All of this could have been avoided if Clayton had had the dog tested before sending him.

Clayton gave me a guarantee of good health in writing stating that "if there is a congenital defect within one year from birth and it can be surgically corrected, then the cost of surgery will be paid up to the purchase price of the puppy." I gave him the choice of replacing my dog or sending me a refund. He has not done either and is not responding to our e-mails.

I am not the only person that has had problems with him. In my searches on the internet I have found multiple complaints against him. You can even see for yourself. Search for "Clayton Warichak Scam/Beware" on Yahoo. Please help me spread the word: CLAYTON WARICHAK IS A SCAM ARTIST!
