CMC Landstar Landstar Did not pay for job done! Charleston SC

A job was dispatched to pick up a 20ft container from the port of Boston. A tractor with a step deck was sent to the port terminal. Driver spent 3 hours with the wrong container information provided. Driver agreed to accept $250 Tony and left back to base. While driving, driver discovered and volunteered information back to Landstar about the correct container number.

After speaking to Fred at Landstar, Fred offered the driver to go back and pick up the correct container for $250 TONU + $850 = $1100. Driver agreed, and successfully picked up the container after 5-6 hours of hassle. Upon delivery, the customer refused the container since they needed a dock height flat bed to unload and did not have the tools offload a step deck.

Driver drove the container to a holding facility where a flat bed would attempt the delivery the following day. Everything was documented from pick up to drop off x2. Broker refused to pay for pick up, transport, and delivery of container. Beware!!! Real deadbeats at CMC Landstar out of SC.
