Cocoa Autosalvage Parts/Warranty scam Cocoa Florida

This happened about 10 years ago but I will never in my life forget it. I had them order a rim for my Eclipse as  they didn't have any in stock. When I went to pick it up there was a noticeable dent on it. The sales person, Sandy, and I went back and forth for about 10 minutes and she repeatedly assured me it had been tested and that they offered a warranty. I paid the $100 then immediately took it down the street to be fitted on. The shop informed me the tire was unable to hold air due to the position of the dent. YOU COULD ACTUALLY HEAR THE AIR LEAKING OUT! By this time, it was after 5PM. The very next day I took the rim back to the shop and informed the manager what had occured. He said there's no way they would have sold me a rim with a dent in it and that it must have been damaged during transport when I was driving to the shop to fit it on. I then saw Sandy from the day before who had sold me the rim. She flat out denied ever having the conversation, ever seeing a dent, or ever making the promise that it still worked. They then proceeded to call me a liar in front of all the other customers. So I was out $100 and got called a liar publically.

Sadly, I was just a teenager back then and I was not familiar with small claims court. Luckily I moved before I could have done something stupid to retaliate. I will never in my life forget this business though and it seems like every site with reviews on them have similiar stories.
