Colasanti’s Classic Cars Shoddy Job Disonest Unprofessional Pensacola Florida
*Consumer Comment: Friendly service but quality lacking and attention to details - also damaged my windshield.
The owner promises good work and delivers blemishes, overspray, peel, dirt and lies about the cause blaming it on something silly. He does not take responsibility for his poor workmanship, only gives excuses. Save yourself the hassle and go to a professional. The appearance of the shop should scare customers away, despite his low prices.

Friendly service but quality lacking and attention to details - also damaged my windshield.

I had my car painted at Bob Colisanti's Classic Cars and at the time I thought Bob was giving me a good deal... Here's my story so you don't make the same mistake and do business at this shop.
I trusted Bob because not too long ago he was actually my neighbor. He was a very nice and sincere person, or that's the first impression I got; until I chose to do business with him.
I had my car painted with Bob around June of 2018 and the job took a little longer than promised and that was the first sign that I might have made a mistake. So here is the list of actual problems:
* First off when I got the car back the bumper had been redone terribly and the "mustang" logo that was redone was placed over an area that was damaged or "burned" as it's known in the industry - so I basically had to take the car back and Bob did graciously apologize and repair the job to my satisfaction (this is only the start)
* Upon closer inspection several of my clips under the hood holding the heat shield were missing - I asked Bob about this and he stated they get lost all the time or broken and he basically began to inquire if my car had a damaged or broken heat shield (his recollection is cloudy because I personally had removed and reinstalled this component approximately 6 months prior to having the vehicle painted and it was in prinsteen shape for being a car manufactured in 2004.
* The next issue was missing clips and a luggage hook which is part of the platic that holds in the trunk liner. Again he didn't resolve this.
* The final straw was when I approached him and pointed out a rust spot developing on 1/24 - this car was painted 6 months ago and started to develop rust on a surface he painted! I pointed this out and he proceeded to state "We don't warranty against rust" I find that funny since its a surface he painted which had no rust prior to being painted. He blamed the glass guy next. The glass guy that had to replace a windshield that his paint shop cracked while painting it. Also that same glass guy pointed out the spot on the windshield where the glass had been chipped where the molding was removed for painting the vehicle.
* In the trunk he also left a rust spot which could have and should have been addressed when the car was painted as when he and I discussed what I wanted done I told him, "Do as much as you need to bring the car back to factory including sanding and sealing any rust and removing any dents. He did take care of most of the car. Most isn't what I asked for and after forking out 2500 it certainly is less than I paid for.
Ultimately Bob offered to redo the trunk as well as the area that began to rust for 300 bucks (not a terrible price but I no long trust him to touch my vehicle).
I hope that anyone out there that reads this heeds this warning DO NOT LET BOB TOUCH YOUR CAR. I brought him a car with all the parts including a new windshield cowl. What he gave me back was a car that was sprayed with a half a*s paint job, damaged my bumper (which to be fair he repaired), damaged the surface enough to cause rust to develop on a painted surface. Lost a slew of components that hold various items in place. Damaged the upper molding clips which he stated "happens to these old mustangs all the time" NO BOB IT DOESN'T IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU AND YOUR TEAM DAMAGE THEM. I hope in my heart that he reads this and closely examines the way he treats customers vehicles. Especially when they express a willingness to pay for attention to detail!
BUYER BEWARE. STAY AWAY FROM COLISANTI'S CLASSIC CARS... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
