pulled equifax credit report only to show a debt that i knew nothing about. i immediately filed a dispute with equifax and googled the phone number of the reporting agency and bells and whistles went off of people claiming the same thing. i believe this is a felony for falsely reporting claims to the credit agencies.

i believe this is a felony for falsely reporting claims to the credit agencies.
- It is not a felony, or for that matter a criminal issue at all.  It is a CIVIL matter.

Perhaps you should read up on the Fair Credit Reporting Act(FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA).
