CollectorsInternet Short Changes Wholesale Orders/Sends Counterfeit coins/Will not honor return policy ripoff Los Angeles California
*Consumer Suggestion: CollectorsInternet has been around for about Ten Years With Lots of Repeat Business
*Author of original report: CollectorsInternet
This company will always be shy a couple of coins from every group sent. Most coins sent are nothing but culls and they like to throw in a counterfeit coin.
I sent back the last 2 groups per their refund policy 8 weeks ago. They will not answer my e-mails or send a refund of $487.00. The coins they send aren't worth even half of what they charge.
I have sent a registered letter to the Vice President of the company requesting refund before I go further.

#2 Consumer Suggestion
CollectorsInternet has been around for about Ten Years With Lots of Repeat Business

Well, this sends up a red flag for three reasons: #1 The postal service has either lost or stolen some coins my wife and I returned to LittleCoin and Heritage - TWICE, yet you automatically seem to assume that CollectorsInternet is at fault.
#2 I don't think they are, because I've been buying their wholesale bulk lots for years now, and am always happy. Thousands of others must be also, because they've been online longer than any other major coin dealer. Why would any succesful dealer purposedly "under count" coins worth a couple of bucks when it would mean a lost customer and negatively biased comments before all the evidence is in?
#3 Some postal employees have been caught red-handed by cameras, taking boxes apart, taking coins and stamps out, and then resealing them, several times. It's been over a year now and you haven't followed-up. If they really "always" shorted you on coins, why didn't you file a fraud or insurance claim with the post office on those several "always" occasion instead of defaming them online? Defamation, by definition, is the posting of a statement which cannot be proven true, that may be harmful to the income of other people, whether they are well-known or not, and a Florida lady just won a $67 million judgment for similar comments.
If your lots were always "shy" a couple of coins then why did you keep ordering from them? Apparently you did, because "always" would mean that you have extensive experience with them. One quick check with William Kellogg and Sarah Miller at the Beverly Hills Coin Club reveals that "many of their members" shop at CollectorsInternet, and they haven't heard "not even ONE complaint against CollectorsInternet".
