Colleen Murphy of Executive Business Listings Phone Scam Columbus, Ohio

I was called this morning by a Colleen Murphy of Executive Business Listings who told me that I had owed them $247.00 since February 2009 & the account was seriously past due. I told that I a) did not know who she or her company were b) I do not know what they were selling c) I did not advertise this year d) I did not ask for whatever it was that they were selling. Indeed, a quick internet search led me to this site where other people are having similar experiences. This is the second time in three months that some outfit has told me that I was past due on something I know I did not order nor did I sign an agreement for. Be careful. These types of outfits will try to record you saying "yes" to things like your address and name and using it as acceptance of their "product/service."

I was told that I would be dropped from their service and would not have to pay anything since there was a "computer glitch" and they could not produce a contract with my signature on it. Somehow, I doubt that this will be the end of this. I reported a similar company to the FBI and Postal Service since I received something that looked like an actual invoice. Neither one were interested.
