I paid them for the full month of June 2019, but moved out of the apartment June 12th. They could never explain why they think I owned them $54.00 They harass you, turn you over for collection, on no basis at all. They are awful in Chicago, IL Turned me over for collection for money I do not owe them

Horrible company.  They insist I owe them $54.00 for an apartment I moved out of on June 12, and I did pay for the complete month.

Not one person at Comcast/Infinity could tell me why I owed $54.00.  They harass and annoy you, and then turn you over for collection.

Who are you...

Who are you to defend Comcast in any way...for any reason?  I don't know who you are and you don't know me....when I said I owe no money, I don't.  Read this again.

I paid for the full month of June, though I moved out on the 12th.  Other people would have paid only half of the bill, or not at all.

Just Pay It

Turned me over for collection for money I do not owe them...  At this point, you owe them the money; the fact you don't think so is irrelevant.  You aren't going to take them to small claims for that amount of money and you aren't going to involve a lawyer.  Accordingly, you owe the money - end of story.  Now, the question really at this point is are you seriously going to jeopardize your credit for something as trivial as $54?  I would hope the answer to that question is NO.

Now, is your complaint valid?  Who knows....possibly.  They should be able to provide you something indicating you owe the money.  However, at this point it doesn't matter.  There are some battles that aren't worth fighting.  This is one of those battles.  Once the bill is paid, then obtain a document along with a copy of the payment that confirms payment was made, and then keep that document available the next time a collector comes knocking on your door for $54.00, because that will likely happen....maybe more than once...over the next few years.  That's what happens when something goes to a collection agency....  If you thought dealing with a cable company was bad, try dealing with a collection agency.
