Bob Burke, who owns Comedy After Hours, does not honor his contracts. We are in receipt of three checks amounting to $18,750.00 that have bounced not once but twice. He also still owes us another $18,750.00 per the contract bearing his signature. Beware of his tactics for non payment, this guy will stoop to the lowest of low reasons on why not to pay.
Here is just one example. The S.E.C. is frozen my assets. When we were told that, we then contacted the S.E.C. and found that to be completely false. He even had false paperwork to show us.
The other excuse he love to use is his disabled child. It is sad enough that he has a child that is disabled, but then to use that child to his own advantage is appalling to me as a parent.
If you feel you are desperate enough to have to do a gig with this guy or his company, get cash up front before performing.

I agreed to have this company, Paul Michael's Entertainment, film a series of shows for me from my comedy club in Las Vegas. They were going to stream the shows also and I was told they were one of the leaders in this industry. The night of the filming was a complete disaster. I had several people watching the stream program and only ONE could view it. Not only that but the casino management informed me that this company and its owner, Michael Bloom, were not allowed in the casino again because of the problems they caused with their treatment to the casino staff. Because of this, Mr Blook and his company were not able to fulfill their part of the agreement. The checks he mentioned were returned because I was not going to pay PME for something they did not finish. The 2 checks were for services never rendered and the 3rd check, a partial payment was made to pay PME for the work they did for that one night of filming. PME was only able to finish a small part of what they agreed to do because of their own poor efforts, yet they want to be paid in full. Mr Bloom was made aware that filing the 3 checks was against the code of the bad check division of the Clarke County DA's office yet he did anyway. I would assume he thought I would pay them just to get rid of the hassle. Of course he was wrong
I do have a handicapped son of whom I am very proud of and love dearly. Sometimes his illness or care required me to be gone from Las Vegas or not be able to respond as quickly as Mr. Bloom would have like...I say..."who cares!" My family and 2 sons will always come first in my life.
I dont know where he gets this "SEC" business from..I never said that. I was contacted by the AG office of Nevada when I ran an ad on craigslist to try to sell my business (i have learned you shouldnt do that in Nevada, unlike most all other States I am aware of) and I showed Mr Bloom's sister, who worked for him at the time, these papers. They were completely real and legit.
I would strongly recommend that NO ONE do business with either Michael Bloom or Paul Michael Entertainment ( though I am not sure it is still in business, Mr Bloom is still around)
