Commercial Concepts Construction Terry Browning It's been 4 months! Roofing Contractor will NOT complete job, answer phone or email! Zanesville, Ohio

Commercial Concepts Construction, a general construction contractor, in Zanesville, Ohio was contracted in late August to replace the roofing on our home. TERRY BROWNING, the Contractor, estimated the job may take 5 days.

50% of the job cost was required up front. After 4 weeks of heel-dragging, the roof was partially shingled. TERRY BROWNING, the Contractor, stated that since the job was taking longer than expected due to inclement weather he would need an additional check to pay his labor force. An unwise move, but we stepped naively into his trap. Approx. 3 weeks later, TERRY BROWNING, the Contractor, arrived UNANNOUNCED at my wife's place of business, which is 30 miles from our home. TERRY BROWNING, the Contractor, requested another check to continue to pay his work force, stating the weather was a problem. At this point, TERRY BROWNING, handed over a "Paid-in-Full" receipt to my wife at her workplace.

After myriad excuses, we are now in mid-December and the job is NOT COMPLETE. Partial shingling remains to be applied, shingles have not been trimmed and hang from the roof edges, and a 10 ft diameter pile of "old" shingles & debris remain in a pile in our yard. Our gutters are full of scrap shingle, plastic and nails. None have been cleared.

TERRY BROWNING, the Contractor, disappeared nearly 6 wks ago, but not before chaining MY ladder (which he had borrowed) along with his own ladders to my children's swing-set, thus rendering the swing-set useless. Contractor will NOT respond to requests to come to our home to discuss our dissatisfaction. Has effectively fallen off the Earth!
