we wanted to borrow money against our business. Could not find a bank so our business adviser said he had found a company on the internet that would let us borrow money but they needed money up front for fees on the loan so we sent a cashiers check for $6400.00 and never heard from them again.

"Could not find a bank"
Forty miles from Chicago (the third most populated city in the U.S.) but you couldn't find a bank. Really? Chase has 30 branches in or within 12-miles of Plainfield. Bank of America has 50 branches within 12-miles of Plainfield. What about First Community Bank of Plainfield? What about First Midwest Bank? What about U.S. Bank? What about Heartland Bank?
I found 90 banks in your area (excluding Chicago) in less than five minutes.
About your $6400… That you will never find.
