Commonwealth Financial Systems/NCC/Commonwealth Financial Services Won't Offer Proof of Debt, Suspected ID Theft

This company has called me repeatedly at all hours of the day.

They are trying to collect a supposed debt of $92.78 from 2007 for a hospital bill I have no recollection of. I have asked them repeatedly to provide me with hardcopy docomentation/explanation of this debt. It never shows up in the mail. I always make them repeat the address back to me (gave them my work address, don't trust anyone).

I asked for a fax. Nothing. I've offered to walk into their offices and give them cash the second they give validation of this debt. They refuse - they won't take anything than my credit card number and over the phone (which I will not be providing).

They most recently have threatened that their calls will not stop and have told me they will damage my credit report if I do not pay them immediately.

Today, I sent them a letter I found on a goverment site asking them to either produce a statement or to consider the debt disputed. I also said I never gave them my permission to pull my credit report and that they are to stop contacting me or I will prosecute, and report this as suspected identity theft and as harrassment.

The number calling me in this case is based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin, however they have no local offices listed in any directory.
