Sher Lefever, owner of Confederate Starz Artist Management hired me to do a press release on or about September 9, 2006. We agreed that I would front her the $145 rate until September 14, 2006. She agreed that she would pay me via paypal on September 14, 2006. She did not pay me on that date and has not made any arrangement to pay me.

I have contacted her numerous times to obtain my money for the services rendered but to no avail. My business partner also contacted her. On September 19, 2006 Sher Lefever stated she would call him that evening, she didn't. He emailed her the following day and still no response. He called her today, September 21, 2006, and as soon as he identified himself, she hung up on him. He called her back and got the answer machine. He left her a message again requesting her to pay me and still no payment.

Clearly she is not going to pay me and I am owed the money. I did the job that I was hired to do. Sher Lefever is being totally unprofessional and has caused me to take this route to get paid.

Her actions and spelling ability did not meet our needs

POSTED: Friday, October 27, 2006

Confederate Starz Artist Management was getting ready to launch press on an upcoming national tour of one of our artists. The artist wanted Kim dumped due to her unprofessionalism, but wanted us to do it as management.

CSAM tried to be nice and not just dump her. So we asked her to do a press release Simple enough right? Wrong.

Kim did nothing more than Google the artist and use copy already in circulation. Plus, she added a few words about her company and how great they were which is improper as they were for hire and not a part of the tour. On top of that, her release contained errors and typos. (Just like the title to her report).

We told her that all releases had to be approved before sent out. We then asked for a list of outlets she anticipated sending the release. She responded that she was only going to send it out to PRWeb, which is free, and most people know about anyway. (ie. we could have done that)

Well, needless to say, when we did not like her plagiarizing other's copy, mispelling words, listing her company in our release and not doing anything we could do ourselves (and do better), we told her to never mind. Up until that point Kim had told us she would do the release as a "scratch your back" thing in exchange for us letting her book a show or two and get a commission.

So when we told her to fix the copy, correct the errors and that she'd have to send it out to more outlets, she got miffed and her true colors came through. She started pouting like an 8 year old.

At that point we knew why the artist wanted her dumped, so we dumped her. That's when she started the whole, "I did work and I need $143". We told her to send an invoice. She refused and had her boss contact us. We told him to send an invoice. It's been over two months...no invoice.

Then the phone calls start pouring in. We advised them to contact our general counsel and let him deal with it. He told them to send an invoice. They still didn't send one. As you all know the IRS wants to see an invoice when you count something as a deduction.

So they never do what was asked in the first place. They never sent out the press release as it was never approved. Then when we tell Kim we don't need her booking anything for our artist, she goes and slams our company.

We get notified that they have called the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint and filed a complaint here. All of this instead of sending a company invoice. So now you all know why "she didn't get paid" as she claims. There was never a mention of money until she was cut loose. And even after that, all we wanted was an invoice for tax purposes.

To show we are professionals, and as professionals we've had our share of dealings with fly by night companies with no morals, ethics, skills or ability, we won't resort to immature tactics such as Kim's company did by listing her company's name here. We've got more important things to do.
