She was charged a monthly amount until the first year was over then they charged her the full annual amount of $439.35. She contacted Connect America and spoke with an agent that told her she would be billed monthly again in the amount of $39.95. On February 2, her card was charged the monthly amount of $39.95.  Broomall Pennsylvania

My mother ordered medical alert from Connect America after I had a heart attack in 2013.  She was charged monthly for the first year and then after the first year she was charged $439.95.  She contacted her credit card company to dispute the charge and then Connect America.  Connect America agreed to charge her monthly and on February 2, 2015, a charge of $39.95 appeared on her card.  She thought this was resolved until she received a letter from her credit card company and the amount of $439.35 was put back on her credit card in March based on the information they received from Connect America.  She now must write a detailed letter to her credit card company to deal with with something that was all ready taken care of by Connect America.  Due to the worst customer service experience ever, the unit has been returned to Connect America on April 6, 2015 and should be received in their corporate headquarters by April 13, 2015.  This company readily takes your money but try to cancel or change the service and it becomes a major project.  Worst customer service ever.
