Consumer Credit or CIC claim to give free credit reports, but charge before 30 days is up. Internet

I called them this morning (October 18, 2004) in reference to two deductions from my checking account. they told me that i was being charged for a credit report i did back in August and for the one i recently did. i never filed for a report back in August and if i did why did they not deduct back then? On the second one it had not been 30 days and they deducted my account again. These deductions were done 3 days apart.

I sent them an e-mail on the fourteenth of October and told them that I did not want a membership and on that same day was when they sent the information to the bank to deduct out of my account. To me that constitues fraud. They are also false advertising. Everyone needs to check their credit from time to time, but we don't need to be ripped off. there's enough of that going on as it is. I hope that something can be done about this. If it happens again I will go to small claims and file.
