Convilo - Nathan Phinney sold my family a van that has needed significant repairs despite saying it is in great shape Newport Beach California

Nathan, the guy who owns and runs this business, is a liar and a cheat. He sold my family and me a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, saying, "This car is in great shape" and had been inspected by a mechanic prior to me buying it. Literally the day after I bought it, the check engine light came on. I contacted him, and he told me to take it to Orange Coast Chrysler in Costa Mesa to address the issue. Orange Coast was great, as they addressed the issue within a day or two and told me that my "in great shape" van had a misfire that was caused by water or fluid getting into the main part of the engine, causing a misfire.

The entire engine needed to be replaced, which, if it was out of warranty, would have cost me $12K!! When contacting Nathan about this, his only response was, "That's deeply weird." No offer to make it right or take the car back. After getting the van back, it now has battery issues that needed to be addressed, costing me $450 out of pocket, as this was not covered by warranty. After the batteries were replaced, the van is now having electrical issues and is now back at Orange Coast Chrysler for the second time in 2 weeks. I originally posted a review of this guy, and Nathan contacted me after accusing me of libel and "trying to destroy his business."

Additionally, the vehicle is now back in the shop being repaired for the same electrical issue. The warranty that Convilo sold us has proved to be worthless, as the warranty company said they would not pay for the repairs that need to be done. Nathan's only response to this issue has been accusatory of me trying to ruin his business and accusing me of libel, despite there being multiple other negative reviews of his business on cars.com
