Coral Gables Parking Department Coral Gables PARKING TICKET SCAM Coral Gables, Florida

This is the second time I have maliciously received a parking ticket for an unexpired parking meter. The first time I had ample photos to prove the case and the Parking Director voided the ticket. The second time I was not so lucky as I only had my phone camera. I did however stop the meter maid to show him the obvious 2 minutes on my meter to which he replied "you put that in right now"...just keep in mind it is IMPOSSIBLE to put just 2minutes in a meter. He said "I do this all day, don't argue with me, I know how to do my job". So I emailed the director who responded "the officer said the meter was not expired, please pursue in court if you would like to drop the ticket" so I said "if he admitted it, why do I need  to go through the trouble of going to court" to which he replied "oops, I meant it was expired." How can you be so unaware of your response to an important matter and change your response to the question?

The coral gables parking department is CORRUPT and will take the officer's word over yours, regardless of the situation. The funny thing is the photo I took of the meter with 1 minute left (it dropped from 2 to 1 when I took the photo) was taken at 3:36pm. The ticket I received was at 3:34pm meaning I actually had 3-4 minutes when I received the ticket. That is a complete load of bull. I will not pay this bogus ticket and will pursue in court and am currently attempting to open an investigation into the parking dept. of coral gables. Unfortunately I have already contacted internal affairs and criminal investigation dept. of coral gables who seem as if they're trying to cover the parking dept. a*s as well.

What really upsets me is the fact that I have to go OUT OF MY WAY to go to court in order to pursue a ticket that I did not deserve. How can I be expected to be a law-abiding citizen when these guys can't seem to follow the law? If I'm not mistaken it is illegal to administer tickets to people who's meter is not expired. This is a huge scam and is happening to more people than just me, allowing the county to collect tons of funds off of innocent people.
