Corporex LLC was offering a mistery shopper job. I didn't fill the application because I figure it was bogus. I saw in your reports other people had the same experience and that is why am reporting it.

They are taking advantage of the fact that so many are unemployed and desperate..so they easily fall prey. The victim ends up depositing a cashiers check sent from the scammers and are told to shop with it and send them a portion back as a "test" or some other BS lie.

Problem is, the check they sent the victim is a fraud, but it looks real and the bank doesn't really care to verify it or ask if the customer has so most banks quickly clear it no questions asked. Most customers assume if it was "cleared" by their trusted bank, that means it is "good". Not the case.

Then when it is discovered a fake days or weeks later, the victim is out of all the money plus any bank fees resulting from overdrafts/NSF/returns etc. As well, in the banks eyes, the victim committed fraud by depositing a bad check..it's really a horrible scam because it steals from someone who is already in a financial bind and jobless. It can devastate the victim financially.

The first red light that this is a scam is just the fact of the kind of money they are claiming to pay. There are no shortage of people that need jobs. You don't really need any education, experience or qualifications just to shop..right?

So, why would they have to pay so much? Heck $2000 a month for 4 hours a day? That comes out to around $25.00 an hour. who is going to pay someone that just to shop? Most mystery shoppers (legitimate) are lucky if they can earn an extra 50 or 100 dollars a month doing this.

Always beware and look for the obvious signs of scam. You were smart by figuring it was bogus and investigated first..many do not and lose big.
