#3 Consumer Comment
I've been happy with this company

I've been a Cosmetique customer twice, over a period of several years. I'm not a customer now because I'm cutting back on unnecessary expenses
What I liked best about Cosmetique was their customer service. I cancelled my membership twice, and both times I had no problem contacting them. The service rep didn't argue with me or try to convince me to reconsider. They've called a few times asking if I'd like to rejoin, and they've been courteous when I declined.
I always got my shipments on time and never had any problems with billing. I like this company and am sorry to hear that other customers have had issues with them.

#2 Consumer Suggestion
Personal experiences with Cosmetique

I was a member of Cosmetique for about 1.5 yearsm startubg about ten years ago. When I cancelled I did so in writing and had no difficulty at all.
Recently, I sent for their beauty kit for a dollar, + s/h. I received it. It was nice. In sending for it I had to agree on the card to get shipments later, or cancel. I did not cancel and got the first shipment and paid for it. The value was ok for what I got. I wanted a different color lipstick and they sent it free of charge without requiring me to sent the first one back.
The 2nd shipment came sooner than I could use up the products, so I sent it back without payment. They did not re-bill me. I then chose the option of having the shipments sent only once every 3 months. I have just received my new shipment and it is nice enough for the price, even tho' it totals $25.
In reading the complaints--I read about 10 or so--I see a common thread of 'credit card.' I have never used a credit card to pay Cosmetique. I always use personal checks. Perhaps the best way to deal with online companies is to pay by check after you receive the product. When they have your credit/debit card #, they are free to go into your account if they think you're late, or if anything else unusual happens. I don't think letting anyone (company or otherwise) into my bank account is safe or wise.
