Country Side Village Rive Run Mobile Homes Garden Springs Mobile Homes Back on March 4th of 2020 my partner and I spoke with regional manager Heather about a mobile home that would be coming up available within two weeks because they needed one week for the person that was living there to move out and one week for them to clean and paint and have the home ready for us. We were told that we had "first dibs" on this unit as long as we put a $400 "hold deposit" which we ended up giving a $600 hold deposit.

Our application was done with Barbara Wolfe at Countryside Village Mobile Homes at 8401 Bowles Rd in Tampa. She is also who took the hold deposit and reassured me that as long as I didnt sign a lease we could get our money back or it would be held for another unit. So we gave the $600 with an agreement that we would be back on March 10, 2020 to view the unit which was not able to be seen before and to give the remaining balance and sign the lease to be able to move on Friday, March 13th. When myself and my family arrived on Tuesday, March 10th to wrap up the deal we were told that the unit had just been rented out to another family just hours before due to them being a homeless family from out of town who had the full amount on the spot to move in, yet my partner, 2 children and one on the way and myself were about to be homeless as well.

This was very disappointing to our family. Heather then said i have another place further down the road that has a place ( this place was way further and more expensive for what we needed) Heather then said that she would have something else in a week, which there was another issue. After 3 weeks on waiting to hear back we decided to get a refund on the hold deposit. We were told the only way to do so is in writing to corporate. I went through the whole process of writing my letter, sending it out and waited pretty much a month for them to tell me i didnt comply with the terms of agreement and they would not be refunding us.
