Countrywide Home Mortgage Forced Insurance Scam by Countrywide Calabasas California

Where do we get help?
I am behind in my payments and the repayment department at Countrywide is willing to work out a repayment plan but I just found out that they can't reschedule the payments because the insurance department reported that the home was vacant, notified my insurance company, cancelled my insurance and force placed a $16,000 policy with a company that Countrywide owns.

Various employees told me that Countrywide's records say that my insurance company is the one who dropped me and cancelled the policy. When I requested a copy of the letter that they say my insurance company sent them, they won't send it and when I told a different employee about that he said "because they don't have it". I then contacted the insurance company ASI and they told me that Countrywide asked the policy to be cancelled saying the home was vacant. ASI actually sent me the letter that they received from Countrywide to cancel my insurance and it's indisputable. So it seems that Countrywide is falsifying their own records and lying about the fact that they are the ones causing the cancellation of these policies. It is so transparent what they are doing.

Then they say they inspected the home 4 times and it's vacant. That is a bold faced lie. I have numerous witnesses and bank records to show that I have been in town nearly every day since they started these "socalled inspections". My parents were here visiting for 3 weeks, a friend and her daughter moved here and I let them stay with me for a month in May 2008. 2 other friends came on vacation and stayed in my home with me for a week.

I am a full time resident who works from home and this home has never been inspected.

They have never left an inspection notice on my door yet they can just arbitrarily say that this fully furnished home is vacant, cancel your 2,000 insurance policy, charge you $16,000 and raise your mortgage payment by $1800 per month for this stupid insurance!

I would have been fine if they just corrected the problem but no. They wanted to send out someone to reinspect my home within 2 months from now. Then after I called again, I got another person to put an "expedited" request for an inspection but she couldn't tell me when that would be and the HOPE department can't set up my repayment schedule until the payments go back down to $3700/month.

This is insane and must be illegal. They are cancelling peoples insurance for no reason just so they can place the forced insurance, make more money wth their own insurance and then putting people into forclosure. There is a clear conflict of interest owning that insurance company. How can this be allowed and who do I contact? I am trying to find phone numbers for the corporate offices thinking maybe I'll get some help. According to various posting on the internet, they have done this to so many people. Why isn't an investigation an class action suit happening? These banks are out of control!
