They misuse a not-for-profit web address to redirect and rip people off. They charge $29.95 through courtrecords.org for "complete investigative services," but after paymentusers are redirected to restrictedonly.com which simply lists the resource links you can get for free on a search engine. When user clicks on "Contact Us," an error report appears. COMPLETE rip-off.

No laws about domain extensions

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 24, 2005

There is nothing that says a .org is a non-profit domain. Back in the day, it was intended to be a non-commercial, non-educational miscellaneous use TLD, but over the years that has broken down and it is the same as .com or .net or .tv.. I could go out and register any .org domain I wanted and host anything I wanted on the domain.
