Craftsman does not indicated shipping as an exclusion of their warranty, however used it as an excuse to get out of replacing the damanged item that i received.
Conversation listed below.
Dear Mr. S.,
The damage indicated in your pictures and note below is indicative of shipping damage and therefore not a Craftsman Warranty Claim. Shipping claims must be placed with WOOT.com as they were the shipper of your item and therefore, responsible for any damage incurred during the shipping process. Please contact them directly regarding your claim and be sure to indicate the item was damaged during the shipping process.
Best regards,
Customer Support

Hello. My father in law got me one of your tool chests for this past Christmas and I have just got around to getting the garage cleaned up enough to assemble it. I removed it from the box and set it up when I noticed how nice the bottom set was, however the top is significantly damaged. see pictures.
due to the significant wobble a spacer is required under the right corner to keep it level as seen in picture 4, but the drawers do not line up and they rarely lock.
I would like to file a warranty claim for a replacement of the top drawers. this item is still not used and has never had tools inside it.

it isn't necessary to list EVERYTHING that is not included...such as shipping damage. Looks like you had a fit and fell in it. Now you're having to deal with your own poor decisions. Your photobucket pictures show damage from either dropping or Heavy items place on your unit. Sears appears to be right and this is NOT covered by their warranty.
Nope, I DON'T work for Sears. They did NOT rip you off.

There is no help for your situation as YOU have waited too long to file a claim with the CORRECT people. YOU cannot expect THEM to honor or pay on a warrenty where the damages were NOT from them. If the shipper has damaged YOUR item, it IS NOT the shipping parties responsibility. It always amazes me when I see one of these posts. You people ASSUME that the items YOU have ordered are MAGICALLY appearing at your doorstep. YOU don't even factor in the p*** poor shipping company. With ALL of the YouTube videos out there showing delivery people man-handling packages, how can ANYONE in their right mind NOT factor them in?? And if you think the delivery people are rough, you should see the distribution hubs. Those guys are on a deadline and they SLING packages around. My point is, that YOU are attempting to get the WRONG party to pay for YOUR problem. Go after the RIGHT people and QUIT slandering a reputable company. What YOU are doing is wrong and actionable. Lets face it, YOU did this in order to embarrass them into giving YOU your way. YOU think that somehow and someway that YOU are reporting some great injustice. Yet YOU fail to acknowledge that there is a third party whos responsibility it is. YOU are placing this ALL on them . When it just NOT their fault. YOU are looking to place the blame on them so YOU are made whole and YOU don't care that its the wrong people. To YOU it MUST be all Craftsmans fault. Thankfully the LAW has already sorted this all out for you. Since the LAST responsible party who handled YOUR product WAS the shipping company, YOU have to go after the shipping company as THEY are the last party. All Craftsman does is move the BOX from one side of their warehouse to the loading bay. The shipping company has to load the items onto their truck, then deliver those items to a distribution hub, it is then all sorted and put o different regions, then its loaded onto a plane, then its flown to whichever state, then its unloaded, stacked, sorted, redistributed, and then put on a truck. In ALL of that, where was Craftsmans part in this?? As I said, the items are moved to a loading bay and THATS IT!! A majority of its movement is done BY THE SHIPPING COMPANY!!! I have spelled it all out for you. If YOU cant see HOW the shipping company is the responsible party, then all YOU are doing is digging for money or free product. And that makes YOU a scammer and a thief. One would HOPE that an American Citizen would be smarter then your average 5th grader.........
