I was approached by Mr. Gregory Gray with Creative Investment Group in reference to buying my home. Mr. Gray gave me a business card and stated his company buys homes as an investment. I was sure to check his identification to verify he was who he claimed to be. I told Mr. Gray he could call me and we would talk. In the mean time I did get on line and there was a website for this company however, I went to the BBB site for further information.

The BBB was aware of this company but had not received any complaints. About a week later I signed a contract for the sale of my home. Mr. Gray stated he had to order an appraisal and title work which was done. Mr. Gray then advised we would be going to settlement within a week or so.

Settlement dates came and went on several occassions Mr. Gray failed to return phone calls after he advised me of the two settlement dates. I called Mr. Gray and left numerous messages with no response. To date Gregory Gray has not returned a email, phone message or text message.

I want everyone to know that "Gregory Gray of Columbia, Maryland and Creative Investment Group is a rip off. This company needs to be investigated by the banking industry and the Attorney General of the State of Maryland and charged with operating a fraudulent business and deceptive business practices with the known intent to deceive the public.

Get The Facts Straight

AUTHOR: Bj - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 23, 2008

First I would like to say that apparently Dave did not get the correct information from Mr. Gregory Grey. I was not referred to Creative Investment Group. Mr. Gregory Grey rang my bell and aksed to buy my house because there was a sale sign on the lawn. I have witnesses who were in my home at the time. He then conversated with them about a trip he had just come back from and they discussed several basketball games. He even showed pictures of his trip on his digital camera. Secondly I did have a contract with Creative Investment Groups name listed and with the name and address of the alleged buyer. I have a contract, emails, text messages , ect between myself and Mr. Grey.

I have the name and number of the appraiser Mr. Grey used to appraise my property. I even spoke with his brother after Mr. Grey did not return several phone calls and told me and my adviser he was hospitalized for a serious disease regarding his digestive system. Mr. Grey's brother apologized for the way Mr. Grey had transacated business with me and assured me he would have Gregory call me, he called me back to veriy if his brother had called to give me a update on the progress of the sale. Mr. Grey also spoke with my financial adviser and kept him up to date on the pending contract which my adviser also received from Mr. Grey. Yes I did report this company for bad business practices because I did not want anyone else to experience the deception I experienced. The only reason I did not persue this comapny legally was there was no transaction of money. Some battles are better left to God to handle.

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Clarification

I just wanted to clarify a few things that BJ has said. I was involved with BJ in this matter. There are just a few things I would like to politely address and hopefully will not be involved in any childish antics. I cannot speak for either of the Gray's but can easily make some issues clear.

1) I must remind BJ that there IS and WAS NOT any legal contract between herself and Creative Investment Group.

2) This is the current Better Business Bureau report copied off of the official website:

"Nature Of Business
This company serves as an intermediary to match up home sellers with private investors interested in buying properties.
Customer Experience
The BBB processed a total of 0 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period."

3) BJ was introduced to Creative Investment Group through a referal. In no way did anyone from that company attempt to harrass or make her do any business at all.

I could go on for hours but I would simply state that I am not one to engage with individuals who are upset and blame other people for their misfortunes. At the time of this incident the mortgage industry was in turmoil. Guidelines (rules for conducting mortgage transactions) were changing constantly and the options for financing were very limited. Last but not least, BJ should be aware of the definition of slander. It is not right to throw out non fact based opinions and try to defame peoples character. This behavior can be pursued by legal actions but is not a prefered practice of Creative Investment Group. Thank you for allowing me to state my knowledge of this matter.

Never Ending Story

AUTHOR: Bj - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 19, 2007

I was finally able to reach Mr. Grey who put me in contact with his associate Mr. David Dorman, this was maybe the last week of September. Mr. Dormam advised he was working with the investor and that all they were waiting for from the bank were the verification of funds. He asked me to call him for updates and that he had no problem with me calling him everyday because he was so busy and he wanted to keep me updated. The next day I did call and was told they had not received the information from the bank. After several calls Mr. Dorman stopped taking my calls and ignored all messages. I was finally able to speak with Mr. Gregory Grey's brother William Grey who advised he would have one of the two give me a call. I told him that this was no way to run a business and that businesses do survive from referrals and that who would refer them to anyone with this type of unprofessional behavior. That phone call was about two weeks ago and to date--Gregory Grey, David Dorman nor William Grey has returned a phone call. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau & The Maryland Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division. I want everyone to know if you hear of these names run as fast as you can. Creative Investment Group is a fraudulent company and needs to be stopped from what they are doing. I plan on contacting The Federal Banking Commission as well.
