We heard about a promotion with cruisesonly.com that if you book with them you get back money for onboard expenses after you return from your trip. We were notified of this promotion when booking. I cannot remember the exact words used, but what we hear is up to a $300 credit on onboard expenses. To me that sounds like, "If you spend more than $300 on the cruise we don't pay above that". We were liking the idea of using this company because of this credit. When we return we call to get directions on how to get the credit and we were instructed on how to do so.

We then received $25, each (two people). Of course, we were shocked. I called to ask about the credit and was told that the credit is based on how much your cruise costs and how much you spend on board. Our cruise price only qualified us for this amount. It is just frustrating that when we spoke to the agent on the phone when booking that we were told about the "$300 onboard expense credit", when he knew our cruise price would not qualify us for but $25 credit. ts just misleading at that point.

I can see advertising this to someone who has not chosen a cruise yet, but once the agent knows your cruise price and still says it?? Of course we were also frustrated that our agent did not return calls for us the one time we called with questions and the same thing happened to a fellow traveler who used the same agent and he did not return several of her calls. SO, with all this being said we cannot recommend this company to anyone for planning a cruise. This was our fifth cruise and second booking through cruisesonly.com and it will be our last. Do yourself a favor and just book through a cruiseline directly or through a travel agent that you can see in person and speak with.
