Customers Compensation Center I received a letter from these people with Canadian postage, a personal envelope (not a business envelope) and a check for $3500. They wanted $2400.00 back to "pay taxes" on an award of $50,500. Tappan, New York

I received in the mail a letter with Canadian postage, from the Customers Compensation Center in Tappan, NY.  It also contained a check for $3500 drawn on a First Niagara Bank.  The letter said this was a down payment on an award claim of $50,500. 



However, I was expected to use $2400 of that money to "pay taxes" on the $50,500.  I was instructed to call a Jerry Morgan at 1-647-219-4536 for an address to mail the $2400, and to get further instructions on claiming my winnings.
