This is a formal warning to parents thinking about Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning (CVNFL) daycare for their children or child.

My personal experience began well enough. That is until my child was age-eligible for the toddler program. From that point, problems began and have continued up until this current day. Under Janet Fleming leading the way as director, my child has seen several friends leave the program to only be enrolled in more comprehensive hands-on daycares like Little Dreamers or Montessori.

Janet Fleming and Francis Kurowski have made the program a completely profit-driven venture, and thus hardly family-oriented in the slightest. In turn, this is most likely the reason why I have seen seven different aides and five teachers come and go in the past 2.5 years.  

Janet Fleming personally called me for a $25.00 late fee because my payment came in on the sixth of the month - missing the cut off by merely a day. She and her down-the-line district office employees sent harassing notices, letters and phone calls for six consecutive months. However, they never took into account that I had been loyal in payment of more than $28,000.00 in tuition for the duration of the preceding two-plus years. They never once considered my time, toys donated on my behalf and support to the daycare and its outside functions. Furthermore, they didn’t even acknowledge the fact that more than half the kids going there come from families that receive state-funded care.
