Cybernet Development Stole money through a job interview BROOKLYN NY
*Author of original report: Cybernet Development of New York SCAM
I had applied for a job through craigslist and they had contacted me for an interview. I spoke with a Jeannine Rudolph and she had gone over the job details with me. She then had me sign up for a training program on thefreelanceracademy.com. After that, I spoke with a project manager named Michael and he had me sign an electronic contract and pay for 15% (which came out to $71) of a course through Paypal. I had paid up and he gave me a schedule for training. It was after everything was done that I looked up the company online and found out it was a scam. I am completely devastated.

I had applied for a Web Design job through craigslist and they had contacted me for an interview. I spoke with a representative at the time named Jeannine and she had gone over the job details with me. She then had me sign up for a training program on www.thefreelanceracademy.com. After that, I spoke with a project manager named Michael Dawson of cybernetdevelopment.com and he had me sign an electronic contract, which stated that I would pay for 15% (which came out to $71.25) of a Web Development course on thefreelanceracademy.com through Paypal. I had paid up and he gave me a schedule of when I could attend the training. It was after everything was done that I tried to look up the company online via Google and the only thing I could find out was that it was a scam after reading through multiple reports. I was completely devastated and filed a dispute through PayPal to get my money back. However, Michael had called me and said that since I had signed a contract stating I would pay for 15% of the class fee, he could just close the dispute on his end and I would still lose my money, which he did. But I chose not to attend because even the website for the classes thefreelanceracademy.com looked bogus to me. Come Monday when I was supposed to start my classes online, I get an email saying that the classes were canceled.
