D & T auto sales sold us a lemon Henderson Kentucky

We bought a 2008 buick enclave from D & T auto sales on September 21, 2017. We paid $9000.00 cash for this vehicle. After the papers where signed on this vehicle they told us that the transmission had been replaced prior to our purchase.

The day after we pulled the vehicle off the lot it rained and the sunroof was leaking so bad it was dripping on me as i drove and running down both the driver and passenger side of the windshield. As it ran it left a greyish color residue where the headliner had been recently "painted" to hide all old water spots. I contacted owner of D & T auto sales and they told me they didnt know anything about it leaking.

After calling numberous times they agreed to have their mechanic look at it. He then cleaned out drains and assured us it wouldnt leak anymore but, we had no idea how long it had been leaking. Two days after that my radio had stopped working I made an appointment with custom audio in Henderson KY to have it checked out. He took the dash apart and pulled the factory amp out, opened it, and water poured out of the amp. So the due to leaking it shorted out my sound system in the car.

On December 20th, 2017 we started having trouble with the transmission. It would not go in drive or reverse. We had it taken to D & T auto and contacted them regarding it and they sent it to their transmission shop in Newburgh IN called Mitchell's Tranmissions. Jerry the owner called the next day and told use there was nothing wrong with it and to drive it until an indicator light came on to tell us what the problem was. Before we drove the car from the transmission shop we asked the guy about putting a new transmission in it prior to us buying it. He then proceeded to tell us that he only replaced the computer board because the vehicle had sustained extensive electrical problems caused by water damage.

I drove the car the next day to Paducah Ky to take my husband to work it started telling me "transmission hot idle engine" so I pulled over and contacted the transmission guy and he said to let it cool off and since it still didnt throw and indicator light (engine, ABS etc.) to drive it home. I made it home after pulling over numberous times. The next morning i was leaving for work and the engine light came on so i parked it and called transmission guy and D & T suto to let them know and JOhn at D & T told me to take it back to Mitchells Transmission. After, Jerry at MItchell's Transmission looked at sit he awared me that the transmision had been burnt up. They redone the transmssion and put a new computer in the Enclave. On January 9th, 2018 they said it was ready for pick up but then  told us that we would have to pay $568.17 before it could come off the lot because not all the parts were warrantied. We called D & T auto and they told us they was not responsible for the vehicle anymore and hing up on us. Even though theyre the ones that had us take it to that shop because thats the one they use.

  So, on January 10, 2018 i went to pay the $568.17 to the transmission shop and pick up my car. Upon arrival Jerry explained to me that neither him or the manufacturer would warranty any of the parts replaced on the vehiclle any further because of the extensive electrical problems due to water damage and that more than likely this problem would happen again. Took the car home on the January 10, 2018 drove it home and drove it to work (less than 5 miles) on the January 11th and 12th, 2018 with what seemed like no issues what so ever. On January 13, 2018 I got in it to leave for work and the engine light was on and it would not shift into 2nd gear so i immediately parked in and contact D & T auto to which they again told us the wouldnt do anything about it.

Car is useless to me at this point! This will be the 3rd computer board put into this vehicle in a month time frame. They sold me this vehicle knowing it had electrical problems and water damage but refuse to help me fix it or help me get another vehicle.
