We hired Daniel Dumas to build our web site.  We paid our deposit and were told we would receive design work in 2 weeks. We should have contacted at least 1 reference, but moved forward based on the work in his portfolio. After 2 weeks we received no response from Daniel. Our attempts to reach him by email and phone ended with no response after 3 months we have not heard from Daniel since and had to start the project over with another company.

We contacted some of the customers directly in his portfolio and learned that most of the work he exhibits is stolen from other people's sites.

We are hoping this post saves other people from this scam.
