Daniel T. Hollandsworth (goes By Danny); Perry Agbo Internet dating scam artist Corner Brook New Foundland

Daniel T. Hollandsworth contacted me at the beginning of October 2008 through a dating site site called BBW datefinder.com. He says his date of birth is November 14, 1966.

His story is that he is a widower, has two daughters, Jane and Anna. His mother was originally from Corner Brook and his father was from Mexico. His parents are both deceased, he lives in his mothers house in Corner Brook, Newfoudland and his sister Kristen lives in their fathers house in Mexico City and is raising his daughters because he has to work to support them all. He chose to live in Canada because he wishes to one day bring his daughters to Canada, prefers the lifestyle here.

He is very charming, very attentive, sends poetry, quotes scriptures. It will be my birthday soon and he sends me the most beautiful bouquets of flowers on three different days. I feel so enthralled by all his attention, that when we speak of meeting, I suggest I go meet him in his province, this way I get to see some more of my country. He wants to meet me soon, but needs to go take care of some business in London. Will be gone for 3 days. Will be back on a Friday and we arrange for me to travel to see him on the following Monday and spend a week together. During this week, we will fly down to Mexico City to meet his daughters.

His trip to London lasts longer than expected, I postpone my trip to visit him. He now also has to go to Ghana, Africa. He bought some gold and diamonds and needs to make arrangements to have them sent home. He claims the security company he hired to guard his purchases took his passport from him to ensure payment of his bill before he leaves. Then the hotel will not accept his credit card for payment of their bill because there is to much fraud and the use of credit cards in Ghana is problematic.

He asks for some money to help with his hotel bill. Asks that I send it via Western Union to a man named Perry Agbo, his bodyguard. Once he has this money, he claims the security company needs half of their bill paid before letting him leave the country; so he asks for more. At this point I tell him I do not have any more to send him, he starts telling me how he is in hell, he regrets having done business with them. I suggest he go to the Mexican or Canadian consulate, actually giving him the contact information.

He claims they can not help him since this business is of a personal nature. He then emails me the copy of a document claiming that he has transferred the gold and diamonds he has bought to my name. This document is signed by a notary. I search the name of the notary on the internet; he actually is a notary but I find a source saying something is suspect regarding some of his dealings.

Daniel stills tries to get me to send him some money, I say I can't. He asks me to ask friends to help me, he will pay them back twice the amount they help him with. I say I do not have such friends, he gets mad at me, saying that it is not that can not help, it is that I do not want to help.

He then asks me to pay for a dating site for a friend of his that is helping him in Ghana. This friend can not do it because when information comes from IP addresses in Ghana, the transactions are refused. I reluctantly accept to do this.

Now, since I cannot send him money, he has negotiated with the security company and they will let him leave the country to get his money to pay his bill on the condition he supplies them with 2 MacAir computers. Daniel asks me to get this for him. I stand my ground, I do not have the funds to do this for him. He then comes back saying he needs more money for his hotel bills because he has had to stay there longer.

I do not know why I did the following but I went back to the dating site where we had met, and on which he had asked me to remove my name as he was also going to do. I found him, same name, but now he claimed he was from Texas. I wrote to the dating site, explained what I had happen to me and he was booted off the dating site I met him on.

I confronted him with this, he denied everything. Claimed he had changed his living location because he did not know how to cancel his subscription to the dating site. Bla Bla Bla...

I then did an internet search about scams from Ghana and I found an article written by a lady who had been scammed by a gentleman and she described the exact same story that I had just lived. The only difference was that the photo and name of the man that had scammed her was that of the "friend" Daniel had asked me to pay for a dating subscription.

I then arranged to cancel the subscription I had paid for, told Daniel that his game was now known to me. He continued to deny everything, but after a few more emails stopped writing me.

Ladies BE VERY CAUTIOUS, there are many men out there trying to do the same thing. I have come across 2 more like him; one whose name I have seen on this site... Terri P. Andrews.
