Danny Elbin Horse Farm BEWARE - RIP OFF - Sells horses as beginner safe but not safe for beginner!!! Horse just purchased nearly killed the rider. Was told the horse was an "in your pocket" type of horse that loved people. Loves to hurt people is more like it!!! Horse didn't seem to have much HUMAN contact and seemed to like it that way!!! Tells buyers if don't like the horse, trade on a different one, except you pay out the a*s for the new and improved horse. Danny is the typical salesman...will tell the buyer what they WANT to hear to make the sell. Dishonest scammer!! Do NOT buy a horse here!!!! You will be sorry!!! Artemas Pennsylvania

This place sells horses as "beginner safe" and they are far from safe.  Horse severely injurred the unsuspecting rider.  Sells horse as "in your pocket" friendly.  Horse I purchased obviously did not have much human contact and it was obvious this horse preferred it that way, as it lashed out first time around it!!  Danny is the typical car salesman.  He'll tell you what you want to hear to make a sale!!!! Buyers Beware!  Do not become a victim.  Steer clear of this guy and his horses.  They all are also underweight.  Just feeds them cheap hay. Has over 45 horses, but doesn't feed them. Gives them enough to get by til he can sell them!  Wants top dollar for his underfed, spooky horses!!!!!  Says you can trade a horse in if don't like it, but charges alot more money for the second horse!!  If first horse was honest, good horse, why pay more for different one???Typical horse dealer.  Cannot trust a word that comes out his mouth!

#6 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Took 3 yrs to rebuttal, really!

AUTHOR: Katie - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 12, 2020

One- I did not put 30 days on the horse. Hay quality wasn't important as the price of outside bales. I witnessed several horse colic and die from collapsed intestines from feeding terramycin mixed in sweet feed. He fed because of horses being shipped around as a prevention measure. A disgruntled employee really, yeah I guess so after not getting paid the last year l was there doing everything to save him money, trimming horses and putting in long hours. Hope you give the Dicksons/Carr's a good screwing too, they deserve it! That's if they don't screw you over first. Two of a kind there!

Crooked Danny - Owner was used car salesman previously

AUTHOR: Lois - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 20, 2019

This is absolutely factual.  Even his own employee contacted me a year later to tell me the "truth" about the horse I purchased from this crook!!  He was previously a used car salesman.  Judge for yourself.  From used cars to used, unsafe horses!

His statement:  She was told the horse was only 4 yrs old and was told to have someone with her at least initially.  WRONG!!  The horse was actually 7 years old per his registration papers.  I was told the horse was beginner SAFE.  I later found out I was the 7th buyer of this 7 yr old horse (bay boy).  Figure it out, he had a new owner 7 times between the ages of 3 and 7.  That's 1 1/2 owner  every year.

Beware.  Enter Danny's corral of horses for sale at your own risk!!

#4 REBUTTAL Owner of company

non-factual information....

AUTHOR: Danny - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 20, 2019

Again this is my ex-employee and this information is not factual the horse in question Bay Boy who in fact was broke and rode by her (the trainer) for far more then just 30 days.  First of all I can assure you this horse was NOT sick and had no injuries.

Bay Boy was just a 4 yr old and as I instructed the buyer should still be riden with caution even though the individual making these claims was the one who broke and rode the horse.  I called the buyer to see how things were going she indicated that she had been busy and hadnt had time to ride him, during a second conversation when I called to see how things were going she said she had been riding him in the indoor and I asked if she had anyone with her and she stated NO a few days later I received a call from her telling me she was in the hospital and had no idea what happened just simply that she was found lying on the arena floor, did she simply fall off or get bucked off she didnt have a clue.

I warned her that this was a young horse and should still be approached with caution until they are acclimmated.  Even though I shared my concerns with her I felt bad this happened and offered to pick up Bay Boy and bring their trades horses back and refund the difference after sometime she told me her and her husband decided they didnt want the trades back and wanted a full refund, I told her I didnt want the trade horses and would return them she told me via email that she instructed the barn that if I showed up with them to call the police.

I have in my possesion all the email corespondence between her and I have no problems sharing them in my defense.

Sadly from the beggining this situation was not helped by non-factual comments and accusations from a disgruntled ex-employee, all post and comments are between the same people which made this very difficult to figure out how to handle or resolve.

Thanks for taking the time to read my rebutal I encourage anyone to visit my farm/horses and to check out my webpage

This is not factual.......

AUTHOR: Danny - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 20, 2019

First of all this report was posted by someone that I don't even know or believe was ever on my property she is a friend of the individual who made negative, false accusations about me and my business.

All the information provided in the post is second hand information, the origional person who is her friend and purchased a horse from me orgionally came to me looking for a sound broke horse, she looked at and rode one of my horses it was a perfect match they got along great but during the transaction she asked me if I had a paint which of course I did but was concerned it was a young horse just 4 yrs old so I told her if she wanted the paint I would recommend she have someone with her and not to ride alone, initally.

In regards to feeding my horses cheap hay,  I have horses that been on my farm for 10-12 plus yrs. in my breeding program, we provide our horses adequate hay and grain as needed.

Thank you for taking the time to read my rebbutal I invite anyone to visit my farm/horses anytime and feel free to visit my webpage.

Elbin Farm or Danny Elbin Farm DANGER

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Sunday, November 20, 2016

Very sad that Elbin's has so little regard for human life that he resells a horse to seven different people, and the horse almost killed the one and then resells to a 12 year old kid soon after.  When a trainer can't stay on a horse, that guarantees the horse is dangerous!  There's a special place in hell for people like that!  Karma is a b****!

This horse didn't have 30 days on him like she was told!

AUTHOR: Horse Rider - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 20, 2016

This horse was a reg. Paint gelding named Bay Boy . He did not have 30 days on him like the buyer was told. Plus he was sick with colic 2 weeks ago before the buyer came. Danny kept putting the buyer of until Bay Boy got rode for a week before the buyer came. He was still kind of sick and his appetite wasn't back to normal. So that made him very low key when the buyer came to look. Bay Boy also had a front shoulder injury cause by another horse. It wasn't really bad but he was not sound. After a hour of riding it was noticeable. Then after he injured the buyer really bad, Danny refused to give the buyer their money back. The buyer traded two horses for him plus paid money. The horse was $2500, the buyer still had to pay $1500. Danny only gave the buyer $1500 back and took the trades to one off his dealers. Where he gets the horses from dirt cheap. Then resales for what some would say a record profit. After all that sells that same horse Bay Boy to a 12 yr beginner rider, and he throws horse off, along with the trainer that's was giving the girl lessons on Bay Boy.
