A Million Emails, Zero Results: The Cautionary Tale of Lions Path
A True Lions Path Review
They promised a lion’s roar. What we got was a whimper—and a disappearing act.
Lions Path, a marketing consulting firm touting its proprietary data collection tools, high-converting email campaigns, real-time dashboards, and seamless Google Ads integration, sold us a vision of doubled sales, optimized lead funnels, and unprecedented reach. What we received instead was a masterclass in misdirection, technical incompetence, and what appears to be little more than a digital illusion.
At the center of the operation is Daryl Westmoreland—Lions Path’s founder, alleged strategist, and self-proclaimed data wizard. He made lofty promises: within days we’d see results, in weeks we’d be scaling, and by the end of the quarter, we’d be wondering why we hadn’t hired them sooner.
Three months later, we’re still wondering—just not for the reasons Daryl promised.
Leads, Lies, and Duplicate Data
Lions Path’s lead capture tool was a cornerstone of the pitch. Supposedly, they could capture over a million in-market contacts and would email them on our behalf daily and chase them around the internet with our ads. The result? Not a single inquiry. Not one sale.
Statistically, that’s nearly impossible—unless the contact data is flawed, the emails were never sent, or the ads were never shown to actual buyers. Worse, over 75% of the leads captured through our own website were duplicates, suggesting either deeply flawed tools or a deliberate attempt to inflate numbers.
When we tried to verify the authenticity of the Lions Path team—we ran into a troubling discovery: the individuals listed on their website were untraceable. LinkedIn searches yielded no results. The deeper we looked, the shallower the company appeared.
The Dashboard That Did Nothing
Their much-touted dashboard, pitched as a real-time marketing control center, was nothing more than a static shell. Lacking filters, campaign visibility, or live updates, it appeared to be populated with dummy metrics and fabricated charts. It was a performance—one designed to look functional from afar, but upon closer inspection, entirely hollow.
When questioned, Lions Path blamed “missing webhooks” or a lack of API access—terms never mentioned during onboarding or in our contract. At Daryl’s request—as a work around to the webhooks—we granted him access to our Google Ads account to connect the captured data to our Ads campaigns. For our protection, we did a screen share to see what Daryl was going to access in our account to ensure our settings remained untouched. For 15 minutes we watched Daryl fumbling through the platform like a novice. It quickly became clear: he couldn’t deliver because he didn’t know how. He said he would have everything connected by that evening and we would see the promised results in 3-5 days. Instead, nothing!
The Vanishing Act
Despite three months of meetings, email threads, and mounting frustration, the only consistent response from Daryl was delay: “You’ll see results by Monday,” “It’ll be live tonight,” “Just a few more days.” The promised future kept slipping into oblivion.
After months of missed deadlines and empty promises, we terminated the agreement for non-performance and formally requested both acknowledgment and a refund. Daryl never responded. A clear sign of a scam--not the actions of someone offering a legitimate service with integrity.
Final Verdict
Lions Path sold us the dream of using AI and a new wave of digital marketing tools. What we received was a cautionary tale.
Lions Path prey on optimism, pitching at small business expos and conferences, drawing in entrepreneurs eager for growth. We tried to do our due diligence but found almost no public record of the company’s work. When asked for references, Daryl claimed he was bound by NDAs—a convenient excuse that should have raised a red flag.
If a million emails can’t generate a single inquiry, you’re not running a campaign. You’re running a con. The moral is simple: if a company has no presence, no references, and no results, walk away. Lions Path didn’t just fail to deliver—they faked the whole thing from the start.
Their website, lionspath.co, is just like their service—empty, artificial, and built to deceive. Their office at 231 Public Square, Suite 300, Franklin, Tennessee 37064, phone 615-249-1911 is probably empty like their promises.
