1999.  Dave Newhardt was the contact person and, subsequently, job supervisor for home improvement work at our Howell residence.  He represented another builder/contractor.  I asked, then was told, that renovations would take 4 to 6 weeks.  The contracted work was approximately $27,000.  The itemized contract broke down specific areas/items/ removals/ renovations/installs, etc., and the cost for each.

The job dragged on for over 6 months, and after cajoling us for the final check, he left and never came back.  A subsequent fax to the company about unfinished contracted work was not acknowledged.

Contracted work was not completed; Kitchen soffits not removed-"too much work", resulting in uneven cabinet installs underneath.  Sheetrock kitchen walls not removed/replaced- electricians angled-in screws for new switch boxes resulting in weak & wobbly outlets. (The township building inspector failed them on first inspection).  Microllam beam and extensive work, and cost, for kneewall removal not needed, as it was not load-bearing.  Charged full install price.  Mismatched wall formica, differing from countertops, was installed to cover old kitchen sheetrocked walls.  Formica installed AFTER cabinet install, causing uscrewing and prying back of tightly installed cabinets.  To hide uneven soffit/cabinet line, matched strip molding had to be installed.  However, this necessitated cutting into some raised cabinet edges to attempt a flush fit.  ETC.
